About

I'm Joe Stramel — an independent website advisor for small and growing businesses.

I started Apotheosis Technologies because small business owners kept getting the same raw deal: oversold rebuilds, vanishing freelancers, and technical advice they couldn't evaluate.

I do the opposite. I give you a clear, honest assessment of your website and the technology behind it, and a plan you can actually act on — whether or not you hire me to do the work. I bring the perspective of someone who builds and runs production software every day, applied to the practical reality of a small business that just needs its website to work.

No vendor strings attached

I don't resell platforms, I don't earn commissions from hosting companies, and I don't push rebuilds to pad an invoice. I make money one way: by giving you advice and work that's genuinely good. That independence is the whole point.

Where I come from

I caught the web bug early — I was a business student at the University of Florida right as the World Wide Web was taking off, learned HTML, and never really stopped. That turned into decades of building for the web.

In the years since, I've worked on a long list of IT and software projects spanning many platforms, languages, and industries. That breadth means I've seen technologies come and go — and I've learned which choices age well and which quietly become tomorrow's liability. It's perspective I bring to every recommendation.

Today I design, build, and operate Cahoot, a SaaS platform running on Drupal, Next.js, custom APIs, and native mobile apps — which keeps me hands-on with the same modern web technology I advise clients on, every single day. When I tell you what's possible and what's worth doing, it's grounded in work I'm shipping right now, not theory.
