Websites for small businesses
A website that works on phones, shows up on Google, and belongs to you.
I build fast, simple websites for small businesses at a fixed price you know before we start. You work with me directly, from the first call to launch day.

Hi, I'm Joe Stramel. I've been building websites for more than 30 years. When you call, you get me, not a sales team.
- Fixed prices from $1,200
- No long-term contract
- You own your website
Sound familiar?
Your reviews say you're the best in town. Your website should say the same thing.
Most customers find a local business on their phone and decide in a few seconds. These are the problems I see most often on small business sites.
Hard to use on a phone
Tiny text, pinching and zooming, and menus that don’t open.
“Not secure” warnings
Sites without HTTPS get flagged by Chrome before a customer even sees your name.
Out of date
Old hours, an old phone number, or a copyright year from years ago.
Broken pieces
Missing photos, leftover template text, and pages that say “under construction.”
Rented, not owned
Many sites are leased from a marketing company. Stop paying and the site disappears.
A security risk
Old WordPress sites that haven’t been updated in years are easy targets for hackers.
Two fixed prices. No surprises.
After a short call I'll recommend one and send a written quote that lists exactly what's included.
Launch pricing. 25% off any website package when you sign by November 30, 2026.
Build dates are scheduled in the order agreements are signed. In return for the discount, I ask to feature your site and get a short testimonial.

Things I've built

M-A-D Rides
Classic car and truck restoration in Whitehouse, Ohio
Running a restoration shop doesn't leave much time for wrestling with a website builder, so they reached out for help. I built their About, Services and Portfolio pages and a small online store, set up business email, and trained them to keep it updated.

Cahoot
Event promotion for local venues
I designed, built and run Cahoot and its website. A venue posts an event once, and it shows up on their website, their Facebook page and their members' phones at the same time.

MileGauge
Earnings and mileage tracker for gig drivers
I designed, built and run MileGauge, an app for gig delivery drivers. It shows what they really earn per hour as they drive, counts the miles they actually put on the car, and turns each shift into honest numbers and a bigger mileage tax deduction.
